Nani Kim has many loves – yoga, travel, science, and the violin. But the law has always been her great love since she was twelve-years-old, working as a key component for her family business. Handling various intricate matters from an early age contributed to her development of strong analytical skills, which allowed her to mediate complex disputes between opposing parties on a regular basis and advocate for diverse causes / remedies for individuals.
As a New York admitted attorney, she has worked on resolving numerous cases, drafting motions (e.g., Order to Show Cause, Contempt, and Pendente Lite) and conducting hearings and trials. She has appeared on all types of court proceedings in Supreme Courts, Family Courts, Criminal Courts and Civil Courts in all five New York City boroughs and Nassau/Suffolk Counties. Her practice areas include contested matrimonial cases, criminal defense, negotiating contracts (for artists/musicians), and a wide array of family law matters in areas of custody/visitation, relocation, paternity, child support, spousal support/maintenance, violations/modifications, juvenile delinquency, and orders of protection.
Ms. Kim grew up in a bilingual family (her mother tongues include Korean and German), and has lived in the Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn as well as in Europe, and in all her pursuits, she immerses herself in the world, especially that of her clients, and works relentlessly with an open mind and a passionate soul.
